ABSTRACTI♀︎N:

Five walls presents the work of fifty Australian abstract artists in an expansive exhibition across four gallery spaces. This endeavour attempts in some way to redress the gender imbalance in the art world, but moreover, it signals the continuing presence and ongoing practice of women artists in Australia and around the world.

Curated by Missy Ueda and Emma Langridge, this important exhibition runs from February the 1st to 8th, with an opening reception on Friday, the 3rd of February from 6pm.

Made in Rezza - FUSE Darebin

Connection/Disruption - vinyl window mural

In December 2021 I was one of 15 artists selected for the Made in Rezza project, part of FUSE Darebin Autumn 2022.

The project ran from Friday 11th - Sunday 27th March, and featured the work of 15 artists from Rezza displaying their artworks in shopfronts in Rezza.

My window mural was custom-designed for Felix Culpa Coffee, 210B Broadway Reservoir...and it is still up! You can go visit it and grab yourself a delicious coffee and pastry while you're there...

Check out the Made in Rezza website and artist's pages where you can see all the other projects that are currently showing around Rezza and watch the short films on our practices.

Mural commission - Yarra Council

Uncertain Equilibrium is a window-based mural that I designed specifically for display in the windows at the Richmond Library, as part of the Yarra City Council's 2019 art program.

This window site created a wonderful opportunity to explore the interplay between the positive and negative space of the design and the transparency of the windows themselves, allowing the outside world to become part of the mural and merging together the space inside the library with the environment and community beyond.

New painting commission

Across the Mountain was a painting I was commissioned to create after my work was exhibited at Not Fair in 2017.

This painting continues my ongoing preoccupation with geometric pattern, fragmentation and landscape.

New Painting Commission - Darebin Council

I was thrilled to have Darebin Council commission three small-scale paintings in 2017.

Accession, an exhibition of their new acquisitions, was held in March, 2018.

"Accession presents recent acquisitions to the Darebin Art Collection representative of a cross-section of Australian contemporary art practices. Including several new commissions specific to the Darebin municipality, in many instances it will be the first time these significant works have been revealed to the community. The artists presented include Brook Andrew, Megan Cope, Daniel Crooks, DAMP, Patrick Francis, Dale Harding, Matthew Harris, Claire Lambe, Claire McArdle, Claire Mooney, Steaphan Paton, David Ray, Yhonnie Scarce, Shannon Smiley, Fergus Binns and Steven Rhall, David Wadelton, Paul Wood and Alice Wormald."
